Last Wednesday, April 19, 2017, the pastors and elders of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) Chicago Metro Presbytery formally accepted me as a candidate for Gospel and pastoral ministry.  Previously, I was under the Potomac Prebytery (Washington DC area).

Next step: licensure.

PCA LogoI rejoice in the Lord’s mercy, grace and hand upon me, my family, and our vision for the 10/40 Window.  And I continue to rest in Christ’s Person, life, death, resurrection, kingdom rule and intercession for us.  Relying on His Holy Spirit’s grace and power alone, we press on.

Please continue to remember to pray for me, my family and the pastors and elders who are supervising, counseling and mentoring me.

“Watch the video to learn about my reformed journey, views on theological training and practical mentoring, and vision for cross-cultural evangelism and church planting.” – Pastor Glem Melo

By Pastor Glem Melo

This is my video interview at Mid-America Reformed Seminary, where I am a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) student and scholar. In it, I share about our reformed journey, need for theological training and practical mentoring, and vision for cross-cultural evangelism and church planting.

May the Lord to guide and direct me, my family and Open Eyes Mission to the city/country where he wants us to serve and glorify Him through the proclamation of Christ and the establishment of His church among unreached people groups worldwide.

In Genesis 15:1-6, God spoke to Abraham about His promise of an offspring. Then in verses 13-20, God spoke to him again about the promised offspring. This tells us that the covenant is all about the offspring.

That offspring is Jesus.  He is the substance of the covenant. The covenant is all about Him!

Church Plant in Iligan, Philippines

“To God’s word, fellowship, prayer, and outreach, let us devote ourselves, trusting and relying on the Lord to cause and enable us.” – Pastor Glem Melo

New Hope

By Pastor Glem Melo

I was honored and privileged to preach on Acts 2:42-47 via Skype during the 2nd anniversary of our mission congregation in Iligan City, Mindanao, Philippines.

17265169_10213102304337339_3946011067093960724_nBecause of Christ’s life, death, resurrection, ascension, rule, and intercession, God the Father sent the Holy Spirit to build His New Testament Church.  By His enabling grace and power alone, God’s renewed people “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers… And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.”  To God’s word, fellowship, prayer, and outreach, let us devote ourselves, trusting and relying on the Lord to cause and enable us.

Praise the Lord!
